DEHN MIDDLE EAST FZE and Role:

DEHN MIDDLE EAST Based in Jebel Ali free zone, the organization’s main target is to serve the Middle East market and especially the GCC countries through a factory trained distribution network to provide a full protection solution from one source with full liability. Our concern is to be a reliable and fair partner for our industrial, commercial, and technical customers all over the middle east. To this end, we always focus on the best solution to provide necessary protection to any investment. The hub of our activities in Dubai provides technical and design support including risk assessment up to 3D design from a small residential building up to the biggest oil & gas construction. Workshops, technical seminars, and web conferences are held to introduce better our technology in line with international standards as BS EN and IEC.
 
Role: A dynamic and experienced Managing Director with the responsibility to lead, manage, steer and (further) develop our DEHN MIDDLE EAST FZE with commercial and technical expertise in order to contribute to our success and growth in line with our global strategy GROW(ING) TOGETHER. The role encompasses the management of various departments including Sales, Product Development, Technical & Design, Finance, Controlling, and Logistics and directly reports to the Business Unit Director APAC/ME.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of brand-, price-, and growth strategies in accordance with the strategy of the group of companies as well as the local requirements 
  • Active management of sales and marketing with focus on an efficient sales structure and solution sales to achieve ambitious sales and profit targets 
  • Continuous market monitoring in order to identify future potentials and/or threats
  • Channel development and management
  • Commercial responsibility for the subsidiaries’ results
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team with vision and a firm attitude
  • Fostering a value based culture of excellence, innovation and collaboration
  • Continuous improvement of efficiency and processes which includes to make use of the chances in terms of digitalisation
  • Close cooperation with the headquarters in Germany as well as other subsidiaries within the APAC region

Position Requirements:

  • Academic level in electrical (or mechanical) engineering with a strong commercial skill set or business administration with additional technical education and experience assets 
  • Several years of leading experience within multinational companies in the electro technical sector in addition to experience in the UAE and a strong focus on sales/marketing/business development
  • Passion for technic and sales with a global business and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and cost control
  • High affinity for Business Development, Digitalization and Customer Centricity 
  • Excellent communication and English language skills as well as a high level of intercultural competence
  • Well-balanced, team oriented, appreciative and experienced with an inspiring and demanding leadership style characterized by courage and enthusiasm, openness and resilience
  • A person of high energy, integrity and loyalty with the ability to focus on essentials, to offer direction and orientation
