Operations goes international. Within our Coporate strategy GROW(ING) TOGETHER 2030 and in addition to our production sites in Germany, we are planning to set up another site in Romania (Approx. 1 hours drive from Bucharest, Target size: approx. 200 employees).
 
You have a strong passion for operations and technic? We are looking for a Managing Director / Plant Manager (m/f/d) to set up and manage the site and who will contribute their experience, technical expertise and passion to get our new production site up and running. The Role | Your tasks.

  • Management of the Romanian subsidiary with focus on Operations (Production, Logistics, Building, Quality Management and Supply Chain Management).
  • Development and implementation of DEHN as a manufacturing company for surge protection in Romania in accordance with the strategy of the DEHNgroup as well as the local requirements. 
  • You will report to the Director Global Production and be responsible for the personnel of a new (inter)national team, based in Romania. 
  • Active management of Operations with focus on an efficient production structure and by using Lean- and MTM-methods to achieve ambitious production, optimizations, and value creation targets. 
  • Management of the manufacturing processes with focus on our KPIs (e.g. On-time-delivery, quality and costs). 
  • Establishment and further development of a stable organizational structure. 
  • Commercial responsibility for the subsidiaries’ results.
  • Legal representation of the company. 
  • Ensuring compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards.
  • Leadership, development, coaching and motivating of employees.
  • Living our company values and leading by example.
  • Continuous improvement of efficiency and processes which includes to make use of the chances in terms of digitalization. 
  • Collaboration on DEHN’s strategic objectives (and the Operations system).
  • Close cooperation with the headquarters in Germany. 

Your experiences and competencies.

  • Academic level in electrical (or mechanical) engineering with a strong operational skill set and knowledge in business administration (management tools, P&L, KPIs).
  • Extensive experience in the electro technical sector with a strong focus on production, logistics, lean and quality management. 
  • Relevant experience alongside the whole value chain (especially experience in assembly and logistic processes, MTM and Lean methods). 
  • Global business-mindset and several years of leading experience within multinational companies. 
  • Strong sense of responsibility and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Fluent language skills in English and Romanian mandatory. 
  • Good knowledge in German language.  
  • Good network in the electrical industry. 
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Open to work at DEHN Neumarkt for several months, until the production site in Romania is build.
