Operations goes international. Within our Coporate strategy GROW(ING) TOGETHER 2030 and in addition to our production sites in Germany, we are planning to set up another site in Romania (located in Pitești, Target size: approx. 150 employees).  
 
Are you searching for an exciting and dynamic opportunity to establish and lead logistics operations in a greenfield environment? As a Logistics Manager (m/w/f), you will take charge of developing, implementing, and refining logistics processes to ensure maximum efficiency, exceptional quality, and innovative practices at every stage of the logistics cycle. 
 
The position is initially solely responsible for logistics and includes a wide range of operational tasks. Over time, a team will be developed to support these activities.

The Role | Your tasks.

  • Oversee and manage the operational aspects of our business, with a primary focus on logistics responsibilities.
  • Lead the continuous development, optimization, and adherence to our logistics processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Take full accountability for the seamless flow of goods within the warehouse, covering all stages from goods receipt, storage, and order picking to production logistics and outgoing shipments.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance, functionality, and availability of all warehouse equipment.
  • Plan and manage workforce requirements within the warehouse to maintain smooth and effective operations.
  • Supervise and optimize the processes in both the goods receiving and shipping offices.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and interface with the logistics operations of our plant in Germany.

Your experiences and competencies.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in logistics management within an industrial environment, with a particular focus on manufacturing operations.
  • A strong passion for establishing, developing, and expanding logistics processes, especially in the context of setting up operations in a new facility.
  • Ideally, practical and hands-on experience with SAP EWM systems, showcasing the ability to optimize and streamline logistics functions.
  • Exceptional resilience and the ability to perform effectively under pressure or in demanding situations, maintaining high standards of performance.
  • Outstanding collaboration and teamwork abilities, combined with a deep sense of dedication and unwavering commitment to achieving shared objectives.
  • Proficient in English and Romanian, both written and spoken; German language skills are considered an advantage.
  • Key Competencies: Display a greenfield mentality, exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities, a proactive and structured approach to work, analytical thinking, a strategic mindset, and a high degree of personal responsibility.
