We are looking for a skilled Consultant Planning Analytics / Software Engineer Planning Analytics (m/f/d) who will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and further development of our IBM Planning Analytics environment. In addition to the technical responsibilities, the role will act as a critical interface between Finance/Controlling and IT, ensuring that business requirements are properly captured, translated into system solutions, and delivered effectively.

Your role and key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain IBM Planning Analytics / TM1 applications to support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
  • Act as a key interface between business and IT, ensuring smooth communication and alignment in an international environment
  • Implement and optimize TM1 Processes (TurboIntegrator) and Rules to enhance system performance and functionality
  • Support the administration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting of Planning Analytics environments
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across financial models and interfaces
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying optimization potentials in planning and reporting processes
  • Provide user support, training, and documentation to ensure effective system usage
  • Participate in global projects and cross-functional teams, bringing an analytical and solution-oriented mindset

Your qualifications and competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable field
  • Hands-on experience with IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, including development and administration
  • Solid understanding of financial processes, planning & forecasting, and management reporting
  • Proven experience working at the intersection of business and IT, ideally in an international or global setup
  • Proficiency in scripting languages relevant to TM1 (e. g. TurboIntegrator, Rules) and a good understanding of relational database concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a proactive, structured, and independent working approach
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics into a clear business language
  • Fluency skills in English required, German is an advantage.
