Operations goes international. Within our Coporate strategy GROW(ING) TOGETHER 2030 and in addition to our production sites in Germany, we are planning to set up another site in Romania (located in Pitești, Target size: approx. 150 employees).  
 
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated (Senior) Accountant (m/f/d) to join our team! If you have a passion for numbers, attention to detail, and a drive for excellence, this is your chance to make an impact.

The Role | Your tasks.

  • Take ownership of our financial activities for our plant in Romania, with a focus on both efficiency and compliance. 
  • Prepare and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with Romanian accounting standards and group policies, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Maintain the general ledger and perform account reconciliations.
  • Process invoices, payments and expense reports. 
  • Coordinate VAT and other tax declarations in compliance with Romanian legislation and in collaboration with our tax consultant.
  • Work with HR to ensure all Payroll / Benefits are processed correctly and entered into the General Ledger.
  • Analyze operating results and compare them with budget plans and forecasts.
  • Responsibility for audits from a financial side (incl. preparation). 
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including reporting to management and headquarters in Germany.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.

Your experiences and competencies.

  • Generalist accounting knowledge with a strong affinity for controlling.
  • Proven experience as an accountant (min. 5 years); experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
  • Knowledge of Romanian accounting standards and tax regulations. 
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills are essential. 
  • Experience in setting up new locations from an accounting perspective and working within a matrix organization.
  • Fluency in English and Romanian, both written and spoken; German language skills are a plus.
